Private English coaching built around your work, your studies, and the conversations you actually need to have.
IN A MEETING
Sorry – how do you say… the thing with the numbers?
Let me walk you through the figures.
IN A PRESENTATION
Emm… it is, how to say, a very good result.
These results are ahead of where we expected.
IN A SEMINAR
I want to say something but I don’t know the word.
I’d like to build on that point.
ON A CALL
Can you repeat? Sorry. Sorry.
Could you say that again a little more slowly?
ABOUT ME
CELTA
Cambridge English
B.Sc. International Business
Deree — The American College of Greece
Teaching English since 2020
Independently and through platforms
English & Greek
Native English, fluent Greek
I’m an English teacher based in Athens, working online with adults all over the world.
The moment a student stops translating in their head and simply speaks, that’s what I teach for. Every lesson I design is built to help them reach that moment sooner.
My way into teaching came through business. I studied International Business at Deree, The American College of Greece, and over the past several years I’ve worked with learners from different professional, academic, and cultural backgrounds. That experience taught me how differently English needs to work from one situation to another.
In 2020, I began teaching independently, and since 2022, I’ve also taught adults through online platforms, working with over 1,000 students. Alongside this, I’ve built my own private student base, working with professionals, university students, and adults preparing for interviews, exams, and presentations.
Earning my Cambridge CELTA gave formal structure to something I already loved doing: helping people find the confidence to communicate.

HOW I TEACH
Good English teaching isn’t about choosing between structure and conversation. You need both: clear explanations when something needs to be understood, and plenty of meaningful practice so that understanding becomes something you can use.
The first lesson is a conversation about where you are and where you need to be. Everything after that is planned around you specifically: your goals, your work, your vocabulary, and the areas where you can make the most progress.
Some things are best learned through conversation; others need a clear explanation, examples, and focused practice. I use grammar, vocabulary and language work deliberately, when they help you understand something, fix a recurring problem, or communicate more precisely.
Lessons are designed to give you substantial time to speak, think and respond in English. I’ll guide the lesson, introduce useful language, challenge you and step in when you need support, but the goal is for you to take the lead in communicating.
We can rehearse the presentation you’re giving on Thursday, prepare for an interview next month, work through a difficult client situation, or practise contributing to meetings with confidence. Practice should have a purpose.
I’ll listen closely to how you communicate and give you feedback that is specific and useful. Sometimes I’ll correct you in the moment; sometimes we’ll review patterns afterwards. You’ll feel comfortable making mistakes, while still being challenged to improve.
The words start coming more naturally, without mentally building every sentence before you say it.
You may not know the exact word, but you can still express what you mean.
Speaking up while the point is still relevant, instead of after the moment has passed.
Giving a presentation or answering an interview question with your attention on the idea, not on the grammar.
Following a fast conversation, an unfamiliar accent, or a call where people talk over each other.
STUDENTS
I’ve been taking English lessons with Maria for 2 years. The thing that got me early on is that she doesn’t just fix the mistake, she explains why it may sound unnatural. That stuck with me way more than any grammar rule ever did. She also corrects you in a way that doesn’t take away your confidence. I used to freeze whenever I wasn’t sure about a word. Now I feel more fluent.
